GANDHI


B1- Why did Gandhi go to live in South Africa?

B1-Because he went to live in South Africa to work for an Indian firm.

B2-What did think of the treatment of Indian people there? What did he do as a result of his experiences?

B2- He thought that the treatment of Indian people was awful, so he spent the next twenty years defending the rights of Indians in South Africa.

B3-According to Gandhi , what isthe most effective form of protest?

B3-He believed that non-violence resistance was the most effective form of protest

B4-What does "Mahatma" mean?

B4-Mahatma means "Great Soul"

B5-Why did Gandhi think that Indians shouldn"t figth for Britain in WWII?


B5- He thought that Indians shouldn't fight for Britain in WWII because they lacked freedom at home.

B6-Why was Gandhi assassinated?

B6- He was assassinated beacuse when India was split into two parts (Hindus and Muslims) he worked hard for peace between India and Pakistan. Hindu nationalists thought that he was doing too much for the Muslims, so a Hindu nationalist shot and killed him.

B7-Gandhi once said that "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind".What do you think that he meant by that?How did it influence his method of protest?

B7-I think  that for the violence was something different from what the demas were thinking for to speak was to act and to confront the things and if for example it had used the violence since throbbing it had not had the same effect since it was the human only one that could use the words and not the violence because of it deberiamos follow his steps and admire this person who was made listen.

B8-Why did Gandhi go on the Salt March?

B8. The Salt March was a nonviolent protest and Gandhi went on it because he complained about salt production in India. It was forbidden.

B9-How did the Salt March inspire other Indians?

B9. The Salt March inspired other Indians. It began with about 80 men and ended with 12,000 supporters.

B10-What was satyagraha?

B10. Satyagraha was a concept introduced by Mahatma Gandhi to designate a determined form of nonviolent resistance. It means "holding onto truth".

B11-What happened at the Dharasana Salt Works?How did this affect international opinion about British rule in Indian?

B11. At the Dharasana Salt Works, British Indian police brutally attacked a group of about 2500 non-violent protestors. This affected international opinion about British rule in India and people started to support Indian freedom fighters.

B12-What happened to Gandhi as a result of the Salt March?

B12. As a result of the Salt March, Gandhi was arrested and spent 9 months in jail.

A3-The defendants were tried for crimes that threatened humanity.

A4-Many of the most senior Nazis were never tried because they were fled abroad.

A5-What happened to him during WWII?

A5- He was a Jewish Austrian Holocaust survivor that worked as a slave labourer in Nazi concentration camps such as Janowska, Plaszow and Mathausen during WWII.

A6-What did he do after the war ?Why?

A6- After the war he gathered information on fugitive Nazi war criminals because he wanted them to be tried.

LA LISTA DE SCHINDLER

LA LISTA DE SCHINDLER: CRÍTICA



Lo primero de todo es que esta pelicula ha sido muy criticada por la gente,pero para mi ha sido muy significativa ya que expresa bastante bien lo que ocurria con los judios y decomo eran tratados realmente.Por otro lado debo decir que la pelicula al ser en blanco y negro nos da esa parte de concentrarte en dialogos y al mismo tiempo le da una forma oscura,antigua y triste. 

Por otra parte tiene unos detalles que se te ponen los pelos de punta es impresionante como una peicula tan larga puede llegar a darte tanto tipo de sentimientos que para durar tres horas se te hace ameno y encima esas sensaciones de miedo,tristeza,valor etc te pone a pensar si realmente somos humanos si realmente llegamos a ser personas o nos comportamos como unos simples salvajes me sorprende como el ser humano puede llegar a ser tan cruel.

Debo destacar muchos detalles en concreto de la pelicula:
1-Primeramente la manera de persuadir a las personas simplemente con un material llamado dinero de como te puede llegar a comer el coco el propio dinero y que hagas todo lo que te digan por un par de dolares es impresionante como a gente se deja manipular.
2-Que el propio mercado negro se realize en la Iglesia supongo que lo harian alli para que el señor perdonase sus pecados ya que estaba prohibido traficar ilegalmente pero aun asi lo hacian ya que necesitaban ganarse la vida de alguna manera.
3-Me sorprendio sinceramente como los nazis querian pegar a una persona simplemente porque no vino perfecto al mundo y le faltaba un brazo,sinceramente no eran humanos no tenian sentimientos solo pensaban en su propia salvacion eran simplemente salvajes los cuales "solo seguian ordenes", sinceramente eso eran escusas y lo que realmente eran son asesinos.
4-Aparece una niña con un abrigo rojo y es un detalle que quiere darle el mismo director ya que es un detalle que aparece al principio de la pelicula y es un color que aparece el rojo.La niña de la chaqueta roja significa todas las victimas,todos los asesinatos,todas esas muertes todos esos miedos,lagrimas y tristezas que causo la guerra y que una simple niña pequeña muera a manos de otra supuesta "persona" no es vida porque se nace para vivir no para sufrir.
5-Otro detalle que me llamo mucho la atencion fue como la nieve blanca puede llegar a ser transformada al color oscuro que es la sangre derramada de todas aquellas personas que murieron por esa guerra.
6-Como les quitan las cosas a los judios todos sus objetos personales los cuales les dicen que se los devolveran pero eso no sera asi nunca volveran a recuperarlas ni a verlas solamente seran quemadas.
7-Como utilizan las cosas de los judios hasta los mismos empastes de oro los usaran.
8-Diana una ingeniera culta la matan por decir algo coerente para que un edificio se construya bien pero como era judia y estudiosa pues la matan simplemente.
9-Cuando llevan a las judias a los campos de concentracion y les caen cenizas pero son las cenizas de todos los judios carbonizados y quemados de esos cuerpos humanos es impresionante.
10-Como tratan a las judias en los campos que les corten el pelo las desnuden completamente y las metan en un cuarto donde todas lloran y se despiden ya que son dos conductos uno de agua yotro de gas para asesinarlas esa vez seria agua la proxima la muerte en persona-
11-La manera de como una persona al darse cuenta de lo que esta pasando a su alrededor cambia de pensamiento y de querer explotar judíos lvarles es impresionante.
12-Que en la tumba de Oscar en vez de dejar flores como todos los occidentales los judío dejan piedras si piedras de aquellos a los que ayudo para salvarles la vida.



Debo destacar también la banda sonora que usan que aunque no tenga calidad demasiado buena,la utilizan en los momentos precisos 

Hablar también de los personajes que aparecen en esta película: 

OSKAR SCHINDLER-De primeras lo ponen como un nazi el cual solamente quiere explotar a judíos para conseguir dinero,poco a poco ira comprendiendo todo lo que esta pasando a su alrededor y se ira dando cuenta de que antes de ganar dinero prefiere salvar vidas.

IZHAK STERN-Sinceramente gracias a él paso todo y pudo salvar muchas vidas y todo gracias a que insistió y convenció a Oscar para poder contratar a judíos.

AMON GOETH-Como no podía faltar es el malo de la película el nazi cruel,aterrador,agresivo,malvado,sin sentimientos etc el principal asesino de judíos.

Debo decir que la pelicula muestra perfectamente lo que sucedio en los campos de concentracion y con los judíos y todos los sentimientos que expresa.

HOOVERVILLES

As the Depression worsened and millions of urban and rural families lost their jobs and depleted their savings , they also lost their homes.



Hoovervilles shanties were constructed of cardboard , tar paper , glass , lumber ,tin and whatever other materials people could salbage.


The newspapers used to shield the homeless from the cold were called "HOOVER BLANKETS" , "HOOVER FLAGS","HOOVER LEATHER" and "HOOVER WAGONS".
